Every Bubble Rush event is organised in partnership with a local charity. This year’s events will be helping to raise funds for special care baby units, children’s and adult hospices and hospital appeals. But we can’t do it without you! Every foamy step you take could be helping to make a world of difference to a charity working in your local area.
How it all began…
The first Bubble Rush took place in 2015 and was organised in partnership with
St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice. Five years on there have been 130 Bubble Rush events around the UK. In 2018 Bubble Rush raised over £1.5 million for hospices. And we are delighted that our original charity partnership is still going strong; the Cheshire Bubble Rush takes place in May.
From that first event we realised that bringing together bubbles, colour and lots of frothy fun was the perfect combination for a fundraising event that everyone in the family can enjoy. There’s no age limit and it’s not a race. So it’s a great way for whole families, groups of friends and colleagues to get together, get outside and have some fun together.
Making every bubbly step count…
For some people agreeing to hand over sponsorship money needs to be in return for an unusual or demanding personal challenge: We realise that signing up for a 5k with lots of coloured bubbles might not tick that particular box! But it can be a great introduction to fundraising for children, who enjoy watching the donations add up.
Getting a group together and taking part to say thank you for a charity that has cared for a relative, or in memory of a loved one, inspires many of our bubblers to get the kids, grandkids, neighbours and colleagues to do something fun and make memories.
Whatever your reason for signing up to Bubble Rush we know it would mean so much to the charity partner if you could raise some sponsorship, or make a voluntary donation.
Details of how you can support the charity at your chosen Bubble Rush are available on the website or Facebook, and if you haven’t requested a fundraising pack drop them an email and they’ll happily offer all the help and advise you need to get started.
Top tip for the mini bubblers…
Check out the
Finn’s Friends area on our website which has advice to get young bubblers started with their fundraising; including a free cut-out-and-make money box, where they can collect donations and keep them safe until event day!
