Finn the Bubble Fish joined youngsters from a local nursery to launch Hull Bubble Rush

Fundraisers at Dove House Hospice in Hull are hoping for an incredi-bubble turn out when Bubble Rush 5k  visits the city on Saturday 2nd June.  The family-friendly fun run will feature four bubble stations where foam cannons will be pumping out masses of coloured bubbles.

Bubble Rush events take place around the country, raising funds exclusively for local hospices.  The fundraising team at Dove House hopes that the people of Hull and East Yorkshire will get their bubble on and raise a froth-tastic sum.  Anita Brien, Fundraising Co-Ordinator says: “We are so excited that Bubble Rush is coming to Hull!  It is a truly family friendly event, with no minimum or maximum age limit, and because the course is pushchair and wheelchair friendly there’s no reason the whole family can’t take part together.  Every bubbly step that people take will raise vital funds to help us continue to care for people living with life-limiting and terminal conditions.  So we’re putting a call out to people to get their friends, colleagues and family together to make it a foam party to remember!”

There is no minimum fundraising requirement to take part, but Dove House Hospice is asking people to include some fundraising in their preparation for the event.  Anita continues:  “The hospice relies on the support of the local community to raise the funds we need to maintain our serices.  This year we need to raise over £7 million, so every £1 raised by Bubble Rush will really make a difference.”

Tickets for the Bubble Rush are on sale now, priced at £10 for children (aged 3-15) and £20 for adults (16 and over) and a family discount ticket for 4 tickets £48.  The entry price includes a Bubble Rush t-shirt to wear at the event and a finisher’s medal

All tickets are subject to a booking fee. Under 3s can take part for free but will not receive a t-shirt or medal.  More information about the event and full terms and conditions are available to read here
